Mercedes-Benz Canada announces completion of Toronto Retail Group sale to strong new ownership team
Mercedes-Benz Canada Inc. today announced the successful completion of the sale of all corporate-owned Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the Greater Toronto Area to the AWIN Group of Dealerships and Zanchin Automotive Group.
As first announced in December 2021, Mercedes-Benz Canada selected the AWIN/Zanchin group following a competitive bidding process based on their collective track record of business success, well-established histories of creating exceptional customer experiences and shared commitment to ongoing investments.
The sale included all of the Toronto Retail Group locations:
- Mercedes-Benz Downtown
- Mercedes-Benz Markham
- Mercedes-Benz Thornhill
- Mercedes-Benz Maple
- Mercedes-Benz Maple Van Centre
- Mercedes-Benz Midtown
- Mercedes-Benz Mississauga
- Mercedes-Benz Mississauga Van Centre
- Mercedes-Benz Etobicoke
- Mercedes-Benz Retail Preparation Centre (RPC)
Both ownership groups currently own and operate award-winning Mercedes-Benz dealerships. Sylvester Chuang of the AWIN Group of Dealerships owns and operates Mercedes-Benz Oakville, Mercedes-Benz Victoria and Mercedes-Benz Nanaimo, while the Zanchin Automotive Group owns and operates Mercedes-Benz Newmarket and Mercedes-Benz Durham. On February 11, 2022, Mercedes-Benz Canada recognized Mercedes-Benz Oakville, Mercedes-Benz Newmarket and Mercedes-Benz Durham with Star Dealer awards, an acknowledgment earned by achieving excellent performance in new and pre-owned sales, service and parts, as well as outstanding consumer satisfaction over the course of the previous calendar year.
