Mercedes-Benz Canada reports June sales

Mercedes-Benz Canada and its national dealer network reported sales of 4,001 passenger vehicles, vans, and smarts in June, contributing to a second-quarter total of 11,846 units retailed. Year-to-date, the company has delivered 22,123 vehicles. Throughout 2019, the GLC SUV has been Mercedes-Benz Canada’s top volume-driver, followed by the C-Class Sedan, GLE SUV, GLA and A-Class Hatch.

In June, Mercedes-Benz Canada retailed 3,491 passenger vehicles, including 1,576 cars and 1,915 SUVs. During the second quarter, 10,320 units were sold, of which 4,621 were cars and 5,699 were luxury light trucks. Year-to-date sales of 19,301 reflected roughly the same division in units retailed between the two segments, with 8,394 passenger cars (43% of total sales) and 10,907 SUVs (57% of total sales) delivered.

Mercedes-Benz Vans delivered 475 units in June and 1390 units in the second quarter. Year-to- date, the division sold 2,641 Sprinter, Sprinter Cab Chassis, and Metris vans.

35 smart fortwo vehicles were delivered in June.

Mercedes-Benz Canada’s Pre-Owned division delivered 1,518 units over the course of the month, contributing to a second-quarter total of 4,476 vehicles sold. Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) penetration reached 84.6% (1,284 units) in June and 85.4% (3,822 units) in the second quarter. Year-to-date, the division retailed 8,317 vehicles, of which 6,882 were CPO. Year-over-year, CPO penetration has increased by 4.3%.
