The All-new EQC

  • The EQC 400 4MATIC SUV is the first fully electric Mercedes-Benz vehicle under the new product and technology line EQ. It is the forerunner for an EQ line-up that by 2025 will include all-electric options in every segment from smart to large SUVs. 
  • With its avant-garde look, the EQC is a trailblazer for design and function. Inside and out, the EQC embodies the design idiom of "Progressive Luxury", which features the conscious clash of digital and analogue elements and the seamless merging of intuitive and physical design.
  • The EQC features an all-new drive system with two compact electric drivetrains, one at each axle, which gives the EQC the driving characteristics similar to all-wheel drive. The EQC supports its driver with five drive programs that automatically adjust driving pedal a steering response and suspension for different driving experiences.

Exterior Highlights

  • Black Panel radiator grille serves is a distinguishing feature that identifies the EQC as a member of the EQ family.
  • MULTIBEAM LED headlamps with specific blue elements and LED light band give the EQC an unmistakable appearance.
  • An illuminated Star on the front grille is exclusive to the North American market.
  • An elongated, coupe-like roof line and the tapering shape of the side windows identify the EQC as a crossover SUV.

Technical Highlights

  • AC & DC Charging with the ability to charge from 10-80% in 40 minutes.
  • With the DYNAMIC SELECT paddle you can activate two energy-efficient drive programs, thereby extending the range. Additionally, the steering wheel shift paddles can be used to adjust the recuperation of braking energy. SPORT mode, on the other hand, makes the intense power of the electric motors available for an even livelier performance.
  • PRE-Conditioning of the vehicle interior and/or the battery while plugged in to increase range or to shorten the charging time.
  • Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) intuitive operating system operated by Voice Control, the Touchscreen, Touchpad and Touch Control Buttons on the steering wheel. The system has natural language understanding and a verbal cue of "Hey Mercedes".  
    • Specific to the EQC are EQ-specific MBUX features such as range, charge status, energy flow, EQ-optimized navigation and charging current.
  • AUGMENTED REALITY incorporates graphical navigation instructions and traffic information into live images. A camera in the windshield films the area in front of the vehicle. This recording runs in the media display. Highlighted, superimposed information such as house numbers and street names facilitate orientation to the destination.
  • Mercedes me  connect (Mmc): The EQC is embedded in, and benefits from the existing Mercedes me connect ecosystem of offerings and services. The networked world of Mercedes me connect is ideally tailored to the EQC with several EQ-specific Mercedes me functions.
  • EQ Remote & Navigation Services takes into account the range, consumption and topography in route calculation to optimize routes suitable for EV driving and automatically schedules in a charging stop if required.
  • Mercedes me Charge provides full, integrated access to a multitude of public charging stations that allows you to connect to a charging station and pay from your app.
  • Programming of Charging allow the driver to optimize the charging process. Current charge status, estimated time to charge, push notifications, and charge scheduling enable accurate planning and predictability of electric range.
