Mercedes-Benz Vans once again awarded Vincentric Best Fleet Value in Canada™ Awards

Building on an established reputation for outstanding quality and exceptional ROI, Mercedes-Benz Vans have once again been listed among the winners of Vincentric's Best Fleet Value in CanadaTM Awards. Over the years, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500 have consistently earned top marks in their categories on the basis of their overall lifecycle cost.

In order to identify the winners, Vincentric conducts rigorous monthly analyses of the cost of ownership for more than 1,800 vehicle configurations, which are based on how they are typically used in Canadian commercial fleets. The cost is determined by focusing on eight different factors: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. The vehicles are evaluated in all ten provinces using 24 different lifecycle cost scenarios. Winners are determined according to the vehicles that have the lowest fleet lifecycle cost in the most scenarios.

In 2021, Mercedes-Benz Vans is being recognized for delivering the best value in the following segments:

  1. Full-Size 3/4-Ton Passenger Van: Sprinter Passenger Van 2500 High Roof 144" WB 4-cylinder diesel
  2. Full-Size 1-Ton Cargo Van: Sprinter Cargo Van 3500XD High Roof 144" WB 4-cylinder diesel

When comparing the 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 and 3500 to their competitors, Vincentric determined that both models had the lowest operating costs in their segments. They also identified that the 2500 had the lowest insurance cost and the 3500 had the best fuel economy. Low depreciation also contributed to both models’ remarkable performance.

"With the re-introduction of the 4-cylinder diesel engine to the Canadian market this year, the Sprinter lineup is more versatile than ever. It has the flexibility to satisfy countless industry needs, outstanding fuel economy without sacrificing power, and leading technology to keep our valued customers safe," says Christian Pohl, Vice President, Mercedes-Benz Vans. "Exceptional products allow Mercedes-Benz Vans to uphold its longstanding status as a pioneer and innovator in the commercial vans segment. We have also set ambitious electric mobility goals that will allow us to maintain our benchmark position, with the Sprinter as the clear leader in its class."

"The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter is a familiar sight in the Best Fleet Value in Canada Awards lineup," says Vincentric President, David Wurster. "This year marks the seventh win for the Sprinter 2500 and the fifth win for the Sprinter 3500. The Sprinter provides consistent and strong value to the Canadian fleet market."
